LegalZoom RA renewal: the list price is the bill
“LegalZoom registered agent renewal” is not a Zen-style year-1 teaser. LegalZoom’s RA overview still lists $249/year (re-checked 28 September 2026 CT) — the same figure the desk uses for year 2 and year 3. Basic formation at $0 does not include RA. The subscription auto-renews; cancel alone does not stop charges until you appoint a successor and send written proof.

ZenBusiness standalone RA jumps from $99 to $199. LegalZoom does not publish that intro trick on its RA overview. The marketing figure is $249/year — and that is the renewal math this page uses: $249 + $249 + $249 = $747 over three years of vendor RA fees. State formation and annual-report fees are not in that total.

Auto-renew and the proof trap
For automatically renewing RA, LegalZoom charges the card on each Billing Date until you cancel. Cancel through My Account or Customer Care ((800) 773-0888 / (888) 310-0151 per the RA terms). After cancel, the RA service stays active until you assign another agent (or prove dissolution/inactive status) and provide satisfactory written proof that the LegalZoom Registered Agent is no longer listed — by the next billing date. Basic + RA is not a $0 three-year story
Formation Basic at $0 does not include RA. Add the RA line and the desk’s formation+RA foil is $249 in year 1, then $249 again in years 2 and 3 — $747 of vendor fees before state dollars.
